Applied Illustration- Extra prints

Experiments:

- I wanted to try deviating from my set designs to get new compositions
- I particularly like the designs where there are only small amounts of ink, as I think these really highlight the shapes. I think these may work better as smaller spot illustrations, but for my purpose of packaging, the fuller colours work better
- I enjoyed playing with compositions and layouts as it ensured I wasn't passive in the printing process, and created many varying outcomes

Single Colour:

- It was interesting to see how each layer looks singled out, without the complexities of the other colours
- I think this highlights the importance of each overlap, and the hidden shapes, which mirrors the realities of these skin conditions

Final prints on different stock:

- Whilst printing, I tried different colour stock to see how this would affect the outcome
- I think the grey is far too harsh and all the colours seem to blend into similar shades
- The cream works as a nice, soft compliment to the colours, but I feel it needs the brighter white to separate the ink colours from the stock and lift the illustration from the page
