Applied Illustration- Group feedback

I spent a little while working on Applied Illustration (finally!) and got my main ideas pinned down.

I found the feedback session really helpful, as it was the first time I was really able to get feedback on my direction for this module. The key points were:

- Femininity and celebrating the beauty of these conditions works well, not trying to change them
- Take the flower motif further
- Texture of print and gouache works well
- Could expand to block shapes and use patterns on them
- Find a way to replicate screenprint aesthetic quickly
- Could try transparent cut outs of the packaging to see contents
- Don't feel like I have to use process of screen print

ACTION PLAN:
- Continue to push patterns and develop a range
- Think about how these could be turned into more figurative ranges
- Consider male and female?- perhaps through colour?
- KEEP PLAYING WITH SHAPES

What works?
- The overlay and depth to the pieces tell a story
- The image of the raw shapes works well to highlight the beauty of the conditions

What needs improvement?
- Finish of collages- try roughing first
- Try to get a technique to quickly produce a 'finished' outcome
