- Designs will be personalised in a standard manner at the moment, with image at top and text at bottom, but will expand
- Packaging arrives to them done, they just assemble, no option for further personalisation
- They want the design to be very different to their current stuff, but not like a collaboration with another company- made an intentionally vague brief, could use same colours or type to maintain consistency
- Flavours will be mixed into bars- all three the same, but each handmade
- Sent direct to recipient, not able to put personalisation on outside- could include element of 'taste card'- like Moonpig
- Could cut out parts, not too expensive, but think about placement, will it make the product AMAZING?
- Landing page, to fit with theme of product- could use pattern?
OTHER THOUGHTS:
- Include ingredients?
- Lists
- Make it feel personalised
- Element of gift tag through taste card
- Liked screen print fruit
- Liked lino veg
- Will send ingredients list
- Colours/branding could be enough of a link
- May pick up to 5 designs
- Email with any questions
- Like element of hidden text
Sam also asked to look at my Instagram, and picked out some images which he liked, which were the ones we had been discussing in our group anyway as a possible direction:
Since I had a few hours to wait in London, I bought a sketchbook and some pencils and began to experiment with what I could remember from the visit.
We then discussed my research and our ideas on how to progress forward.
We all decided we liked the idea of using hidden text, perhaps under the bars, to add a bit of GUCC humour to our design.
ACTION PLAN:
Meg to ask for ingredients list then work on making them all into screen print patterns, also develop answers to questionnaires into lino patterns - BY MONDAY
Nicky to look at the design of the landing page etc
Anna to begin designs on the 'taste card' and use of language
We also booked a print session for Tuesday to 21st of March to have everything done by so that we can make up the product and photograph it- the pressure is on now!
Overall I think this group is working really well, at the moment it does seem like I have more work than the others, but that's because they need my artwork to do their job! So hopefully I will be able to get my work done on time to be able to pass it onto them, when my role will become more about design decisions rather than practical work.
