Responsive- Illustration 12" Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds outcome

After creating some complicated outcomes, I settled on a far more simple image, as I feel it communicates the tone I wanted more effectively

POSITIVES:

- I like the suggestion between balance and unease, which reminds me of the elements of space and Saturns rings

- The slightly rough, uneven quality adds interest to the piece and ensures it's unique and not just a generic album cover

- The weighting of the black and yellow works well to show a dominating space on a less strong colour and give the composition balance

NEGATIVES:

- I could have tried to include more of the shadows in the scan to show its handmade quality

- I could also have misaligned the circles slightly to make it even more tipsy and unique 

- The background colour seems slightly too harsh, especially alongside the yellow, which has to fight for placement on the page

WHAT HAVE I LEARNT:

- To trust my instincts and create more physical work if that's what I feel I need
- To experiment broadly before narrowing down to a final
- To spend time exploring where a project could take me and not stress about not getting it right first time
