Through simple drawings of bears I've begun to develop a sense of individuality within my drawings, which help to show emotion and humour. Through my feedback on Monday it was decided that this set of drawings successfully humorous outcome which raises the question, why to bears need jumpers?
-could focus on a theme of 'unravelling' and use a thread bobbin and pencil to link the three
What works well:
- Like contrast of colours, especially the cheeks and bright jumpers
- Like how simple and underworked they are, really want to retain this simplicity throughout
- Through studying bears I've been able to visualise them in a 3D nature, and feel confident in creating a three dimensional version of it
What I learnt:
- How simple alterations in hair can help to change emotion
- How far I can push images to help create animals which are fairly human yet still retain their nature
- Simplistic alterations in thickness of line can help to create depth and tone
