I see faces- Characters and storyboards

I have been exploring characters and their narratives through developing media and rough storyboarding. I found this extremely useful as I was able to see the relationship between media and narrative without investing excessive amounts of time exploring complex media in different positions.

What I like:
- Simple shapes and how their changing form can help to tell a story- also allow for the simple reversing of frames in order to make the gif a continuos loop
- Really like how items go in and out of frame, creates a sense of place rather than just floating in the centre of the frame
- Quite like how faces which are simple yet still fairly realistic help to portray easily recognisable but still developed images
- Like effect of coloured pencil and how white paper contrasts with the built up dark colour

What needs improvement:
- Need to start narrowing down ideas and begin to see how media impacts on the feel of the image and character
- Could try mixing media- like collage and pen
- Need to do several drawings of the same thing to see how many ways I can express it
