Collage clothing

After talking to Jamie and some class mates on Monday, I started experimenting with collage as clothing.
I was going to scan in some fabrics from the fashion rooms to use in my collages, but I couldn't gain access to them today, so I just used some textures off the internet.
In addition I also looked at how I could format my book. After talking with my tutors, I decided that the concertina style would be most beneficial as it would show the progression most effectively.

What needs improvement?
- Don't like the flat colours- think they're too dull
- Similarly with the solely fabrics one, I'm not keen on how busy they are
- Sideways view seems to separate nose from rest of face
- Hands need more work on as they are not to scale/very precise

What worked well?
- Mix of textured and flat colours creates a 3D but not too busy feel
- Feel like I've captured the action of putting on clothes well
- Increase in size of jacket works well to show how weird the idea of putting on loads of coats is
- Quite like slight changes in shoe direction/shape

What will I do next?
- Take photos/scans of own fabrics
- Work all layers into later pieces
- Draw different positions
- Ensure anatomy is correct throughout
- Explore the options of concertina books
