Media sourcing

To gather my own textures for my project I took photos of fabrics at the market and then at TK Maxx of the different coats they had. The texture came out surprisingly good quality, which I feel confident will work very cohesively with the flat colours.
I also created the plan of how my book will work and what fabrics go with which pose. I then started to create the final art work to the dimensions 14x20cm, as that ensured that the bigger pieces filled up a lot of the page and the smaller ones weren't lost in their composition.

What do I like?
- Layering of roughly one textured then one flat colour
- Laying out roughs and colours really helped me visualise how the finished thing would look
- After looking at the fabrics I collected I decided to create 16 layers in order to show their diverse colours. I think this really works in the final image to create the feeling of them being piled on

What don't I like?
- Perhaps shuffle round the order of some of the drawings so that there is diversity in poses, as they can be quite similar sequentially
- Hands might not be quite the right scale- keep an eye on this

What am I going to do next?
- Continue to make final pieces
- Practise drawing her form
