Finishing content

I finally finished all the artwork for my book today, I then put them onto photoshop and changed the levels and used the lasso tool and saturation to alter the colours as well as using selection tools, eraser, and cut/paste to change the head sizes slightly, leg shape and some eye shapes to make them more uniform.

I also explored how I would show her initially before any coats were added, and what state of undress she would be in. I was reluctant to make her completely naked as I thought as it would be on the front page it would not really set the right tone for the rest of the book, so I therefore settled on underwear in the same media as her shoes.

What worked?
- Really like the contrast of bright flat colours with fairly plain textures
- Think photoshopping images really adds to the 'quiet' tone I am trying to achieve
- Use of coloured pencil for underwear works well and is cohesive with the other media I've used

What needs improvement?
- Ensure photoshopped images are crisp and don't include any grey edges etc.
- Maybe try to darken the red in the shoes?

What will I do next?
- Finish editing images in photoshop
- Begin to put images into inDesign
- Design cover
