Greetings from- Mono printing

Because the visual intent of my outcomes was to remind the audience of traditional print techniques, I wanted to see how my designs would work in a traditional print media. Because there were no spaces left to screen print I thought I would try mono print, especially since I find this a quicker way to work with print. However this did mean I had to hand cut out my designs which took a long time and gave me quite bad hand cramps!

I found the experience and outcomes of this trial interesting, as they give a very different feel to my digital versions, and they seemed a lot clumsier. Although I don't think these would work as designs themselves, I thought the transition between different digital and analogue ways of working is an very important thing to consider.

Could I try and translate my designs to screen print later on? This way I would be able to add more detail and they would be more precise to my original designs.
